Today was just an incredible day.. There is just no other way to put it. All of us got into the bus at 9:40am and drove to get our children. When we got there, only half of babies were there- Noelle not being one of them. We were bummed, but we watched how much joy was delivered to our new friends when they were handed their babies. Trust me, nobody had a dry eye in the place! After about 30 minutes, a minivan pulled up and 2 more children were brought up into the building. Brittany and I recognized Noelle right away. They called our name, and Noelle was finally delivered into our arms. What a feeling. How we waited for almost 4 years, and to finally have her screaming and crying into our ears.. It was absolutely incredible! Unfortunately, 2 babies were not able to come at that time because of fog that rolled in overnight made the roads too hazardous for the babies to be delivered from their respective orphanages. But there is a happy ending to the story. The 2 babies were brought to our hotel around 3:30pm and we were all still able to witness the joyful reunions of parents and child. We spent the afternoon getting familiar with our children and Noelle seems to have taken to us pretty well. She has smiled for us many times, and it appears she is just one big tickle spot! Gotta love that! She has eaten for us pretty well, and I walked her around for a little while until she fell asleep on my shoulder.. I think she may be a daddy's girl!! She is so cute. She likes to babble a lot also, so when she learns to talk Nicholas and her can have a good ole' time. Well, we have had a pretty tiring day and Brittany has already climbed into bed. Tomorrow we get to do more paperwork in the morning and in the afternoon we are all going to the local Walmart (Seriously, they are here too!) to get more baby supplies. I will write more tomorrow!! ENJOY THE PICTURES OF OUR NEW LITTLE GIRL, NOELLE!!! SHE IS FINALLY HERE!!!
Congratulations!!!! You have such a beautiful daughter!!!! It is so exciting and interesting to follow you on your journey. What a great and generous idea you had to create this blog so your family and freinds can share in your incredible experience. Thank you.
