Hello from Guangzhou! Our last stop to complete the adoption process! It is after 11:30pm here, so this entry may be a little short. We woke up early this morning and ate some breakfast and began to pack for our flight to Guangzhou. We later went as a group to a very nice park and walked around for about an hour. We were surrounded by the locals all talking and smiling at our babies. They really value us and thank us over and over again for adopting their babies. They scold you to if they feel your baby isn't bundled up enough too. (To them, all of our babies were under dressed to be outside. I guess children must wear at least 6 layers of winter clothes to be acceptable to them. It's kinda funny.) When we got back to the hotel (I sent pictures of it for you to see) all the babies received their passports. Noelles picture is so cute in hers! She has been so smiley today and cooing at us. I am so happy for this. I must admit that I was afraid that the actual bonding would take a long time but it seems she is smitten with us. We went to the airport and took off around 6:30pm. Noelle was such a good little girl for the 2 hour flight and only fussed when we were landing. She was lightly crying and pulling at her ears so clearly they were bothering her a little bit. Once we were on the ground for a few minutes she was fine. It took us about 45 minutes to get to our hotel, and it is absolutely beautiful. I will send pictures when I have the time to take them. We got to our room and Noelle was so playful and happy, even though it was very late. We placed her on the bed, and she rolled over!!! She did it again a few minutes later and was all smiley and squealing. We have been giving her some tummy time this last week and she seems to be getting stronger every day. Tomorrow is her physical, so we will be getting up early for that. On that note, good night from Guangzhou, and we will see you all in a about a week!
It sounds like you are all having a wonderful time and seeing a lot of China. It will be so great for Noelle to see and hear all about this wonderful journey when she gets older. She is just adorable and the the two of you look so happy. Your long wait has paid off and you have a great daughter. Nickolas will be such a good big brother. Can't wait to meet her.
